A few are 2020, most are 2019
Behold, the mighty infographic: one of the best marketing tools known to man. It’s intoxicating looking at these and just reading through all of the beautiful logos, and hey, it’s educational too!
Nintendo shared their latest graphic with us this past weekend, and man does it conveniently recap a lot of what was shared inthe last explosive Nintendo Direct presentation. Although not everything is coming this year per se (likeXenoblade Chronicles Definitive EditionorAnimal Crossing) most of it is, including heavy-hitters likeOverwatch, Pokemon Sword & Shield, Zelda: Link’s Awakening, Luigi’s Mansion 3,andDaemon x Machina.

There’s also a few blink and you’ll miss them inclusions likeJedi KnightandJedi Outcastports, as well as general plugs for updates/DLC in games likeSmash UltimateandTetris 99. It’s a good time to be a Switch owner! That includes the release of the upcoming Switch Lite hardware, which should bolster Nintendo’s holiday sales: which, in turn, means a larger Switch playerbase and more support.
It’s crazy how much this industry ebbs and flows: it feels like just yesterday that I was quietly gaming on my Wii U, enjoying a number of gems, while most people had given up on it (shoutout to the fantasticTokyo Mirage Sessions, an upcoming Wii U-to-Switch-port that more people will be able to appreciate).
