InSuper Mario Bros. Wonder, you’ll find a total of 24 different Badges to equip. Each of these adds a new perk to Mario’s moveset, ranging from active abilities to passive effects. Even if you don’t use all the Badges,collecting them all is required to obtain one of the Medals on your save file. So for those looking to obtain 100% completion, you’ll need to obtain every badge.

Fortunately, unlocking all the badges inSuper Mario Bros. Wonderis mostly straightforward. As long as you chase down secret levels and go into every Poplin Shop, you’ll naturally find all of them. There’s one Badge in particular here that you won’t find for awhile, but we’ll get to that later.

Action Badges

Action Badges add extra active abilities that Mario and his friends can use. Typically, you’ll unlock these by completing Badge Challenge stages for each respective Badge.Even if you do the second challenge first for some reason, you’ll still unlock the Badge. However, some Action Badges will unlock through other means.

3: Dolphin Kick

There are two Badge Challenge stages in thePetal Isles(you really can’t miss this one).

You can purchase this from a Poplin Shop inWorld 4.

7: Fast Dash

You can purchase this from the secret Poplin Shop inWorld 4. To find this shop, go up the stairs to the right of the “Break Time! Bouncy Tunes” level.

You can find Badge Challenge stages inWorld 5andWorld 6.

9: Boosting Spin Jump

you may find Badge Challenge stages in thePetal Isles(between World 5 and 6) andWorld 6.

Boost Badges

Boost Badges are typically passive effects for those who don’t want to change their abilities too much. Most of these can be found in Poplin Shops, though there are some exceptions.

5: Rhythm Jump

Complete the “Ninji Jump Party”” course inWorld 4. you’re able to find this level under the sand waterfall by the oasis.

After beating the game, purchase from any Poplin Shop.

Expert Badges

Expert Badges technically make the gameharder, so probably not the type of fodder you’ll want to go out of your way to find. That said, these unlock through hidden Badge Challenge stages, with the final one being a secret you won’t find until you are at or near 100% completion.

1: Jet Run

You can find a Badge Challenge stage inWorld 1. It’s on a secret path stemming from the “Bulrush Express” stage. You can also find a Badge Challenge stage inWorld 6after collecting 25 Wonder Seeds.

2: Spring Feet

You can find a Badge Challenge stage inWorld 2after beating the “Jump! Jump! Jump!” course. You can also find a Badge Challenge stage inWorld 6after collecting 25 Wonder Seeds.

3: Invisibility

You can find a Badge Challenge stage inWorld 4. It’s on a secret path stemming from the “Secrets of Shova Mansion” course. Like the above, you can also find a Badge Challenge stage inWorld 6after collecting 25 Wonder Seeds.

4: Sound Off?

To slightly obscure spoilers, you can obtain this one by completing every level in the Secret World. This is harder than it looks, and this Badge doesn’t really help you in any way, so take your time trying to get this one. By the time you obtain the Sound Off? Badge, you’ll have truly proven yourself as a master ofSuper Mario Bros. Wonder!
