This week, Nintendo’sSuper Mario Galaxydominates,Call of Duty 4makes a big splash, and people seem to be getting theirRock Band preorders squared away.
Call of Duty 4is overall the best selling title this week, singlehandedly taking the No. 1 spot on the PS3, Xbox 360, and PC. Its only real competition this week is Super Mario Galaxy, which managed to take No.1 overall despite the fact that it isn’t even available yet.
Even thoughGuitar Hero IIIrocked the charts last week, it has fallen out of the top ten, and it seems thatRock Bandhas moved in to take its place. Aside from being No. 3 overall,Rock Band Special Editionhas also taken the No. 2 spot on the top ten list for both PS3 and Xbox 360, as well as No. 3 on the PS2.
Lastly, the PSP top ten list mirrors a recent Destructoid inter-office discussion about the system. The portable seems to have several good releases in its lineup lately, and this week in particular puts titles likeFinal Fantasy Tactics: War of the Lions, Castlevania: The Dracula X Chronicles, Silent Hill: Origins, andDisgaea: Afternoon of Darknessat the top. This is great news for PSP owners — let’s hope that the trend continues.
