The more things change…

Last week, I mentioned how, as we move toward Spring, the UK video game charts were starting to shake up a little. Well, this week put paid to that, asFIFA 18still sits atop the mountain, whileGrand Theft Auto Vand Activision’sCall of Duty: WWIIclimb back into their earlier positions of prominence.

Konami’s post-Kojima titleMetal Gear Survivemade a strong debut at number six, while last week’s high-flyersKingdom Come: DeliveranceandBayonetta 2have dropped out of the Top Ten entirely.Monster Hunter: Worldcontinues to impress, holding firm at number four.Super Mario Odysseyalso popped its head back through the door to round out the Top Ten.

Elsewhere in the charts, Ubisoft’sRainbow Six Siegemade a huge leap from number 27 to number 13, perhaps inspired by the recent Six Invitational tournament and simultaneous free-play weekend. Meanwhile Bandai Namco’s anime RPGSword Art Online: Fatal Bulletfailed to make mainstream impact, debuting at number 37.
