Ffffffuuu… there goes any chance of ever being financially secure again! God dammit, Capcom!
It might have slipped your mind, what with Capcom trying its best to cancelany projectwith theMega Manname attached, but this year marks the Blue Bomber’s 25th anniversary. In lieu of a new game, Capcom has decided to compile the music from all ten ClassicMega Mantitles on ten CDs. ForMega Man 1-6, both the original NES soundtracks and the arrangedComplete WorksPlayStation soundtracks are included, and the entire shebang is then stuffed into a sweet E-Tank tin.

With the exception of theComplete Workstracks, all this music has been made available in CD form in the past. However, previous releases of the1-8OSTs have been plagued by poor recordings, looping issues, and a bevy of intrusive sound effects. I doubt this new release will correct those errors, but I’m keeping my fingers crossed.
The collection is only being sold on the Japanesee-Capcom storefor ¥14700 (about $185) on September 19. That’s waaaaay too much money, even without considering the shipping and commission costs of buying through a proxy service! Unfortunately for a schmuck like me, even though I already own all the original soundtracks, my compulsive nature demands that I buy this tin. My wallet can’t take much more of this madness.
