Behind George R. R. Martin’sA Song of Ice and Fire, Patrick Rothfuss’sThe Kingkiller Chronicleis probably the most well-regarded current fantasy book series. The former has had plenty of games based on it at this point, including agreat board gameand adecent Telltale adventure. So why not getKingkillerin on that action? After a drawn out bidding war, Lionsgate acquired the rights to expandThe Kingkiller Chroniclepast the book trilogy. Lionsgate’s Erik Feig goes so far as to say the franchise “demands multiplatform exploration.” As such, the studio has plans for movies, a television series, and a video game.
