There have been a lot of Ridge Racer games, but the best of all of them was probably PlayStation gameRidge Racer Type 4. It had an awesome opening cinematic, fantastic graphics (for the time), killer music, tons of tracks, great control, and a fun career mode. This game was my f’n jam back in the day, and I still pop it in from time to time.
Next month Namco Bandai will be bringing this racing classic to the PlayStation Network. They say its re-release is in anticipation of the upcoming 3DS Ridge Racer game,Ridge Racer 3D. Of course, they’d like me to remind you of the recently announcedRidge Racer Unbounded, coming in 2012 for PS3, Xbox 360 and PC.
Thanks for bringingR4back, Namco Bandai. I’ll be popping this onto my PSP for on-the-go racing. I love that opening movie with the girl that’s so hot she makes the racer stop mid-race. Sometimes I put in the game just to watch the opening.
