Pokemon Conquestarrived yesterday (just in time for E3 travel!) and, while rifling through the game’s bundle of packaging material, I found this little pass code. The code, which is good for only one use, unlocks Dratini as a usable Pokemon that players can find and “link” with.

The game has a password screen already built in, as Tecmo Koei and Nintendo plan to release new Pokemon and story scenarios. Once the code it put in, players will receive a message that Dratini has appeared in one of their kingdoms, and they’ll need to go win its service.

The game has no online connectivity, so it’s not really an “online pass” of any kind. You just wack the code into the game and it gives you Dratini. I’m pretty cool with that, since it feels more like alittle added bonusrather than a content gate. There’s definitely more than enough Pokemon without it, especially with the plans for more codes and added creatures in future.

Oh, and the game? More addictive than Jonathan Holmes’ muscular chest. There’ll be a full review after E3! Of the game, not the chest.
