The Pokémon Company has revealed its newest spin-off title,Pokémon Champions, during Pokémon Presents 2025 are part of the Pokémon Day celebrations.
Pokémon Championswill be a Pokémon battle-focused title that is still under development and has no set release date. It has a motto of “bringing Pokémon battles to everyone,” and the early gameplay looks a lot like whatPokémon Stadiumwas.
From the early looks ofPokémon Champions, the title won’t include the traditional player adventure we see in the main series titles likeScarletandViolet. However, it will still have some sort of system to obtain new Pokémon to play with, as it mentions you can “partner up” with Pokémon inChampions.
Pokémon Championswill launch on the Nintendo Switch “family of systems”, which likely means it will release on both the original Switch and the upcoming Nintendo Switch 2, as well as on Android and iOS.
Pokémon Championswill include HOME connectivity and let you play with the Pokémon you own fromScarlet,Violet, andGO.
