Plants vs. Zombieson PC is a thing of beauty, as is the lovely iPhone port of the lawn defense game. Either people already knew to expect good things from the adaptation having played the original, a ton of iPhone owners dig PopCap, orPvZwas a word-of-mouth success.
The more I think about it, the more I’m sure it’s all three. PopCap is reporting 300,000 units sold in the game’s first nine days and upwards of $1 million in sales to date. As far as the App Store is concerned, that’s an impressive launch.
When asked to comment on the large sum of money and the prizes PopCap (probably) received for putting out such a rad game, the announcer fromSmash TVwas quoted as saying “I love it!” Ohyou.
