Ubisoft says it’s just ‘glitches’

PC participants ofTheDivision’sbeta claim the game is rife with cheaters.

According to reports byEurogamer, players can manually alter their XP level and ammo count. This means if you head out into the Dark Zone (which is manic enough as is without cheaters, let’s be honest) you may be facing players with infinite ammo and hyper-speed movement, essentially rendering the player invisible as the game can’t keep up with the movements.

Ubisoft responded on theofficial forum.

“Guys, so you’re aware the things discussed here are not in fact hacks or cheats, but merely abuse of glitches that exist in the game currently,” writes community manager Natchai. “These glitches are currently being worked on by the team.”

According to some players, however, the problem is bigger than just glitches.

“This is not just lack of anticheat, it is global networking architecture fuckup,” reported a player onreddit. “I highly doubt that this will be fixed any time soon after release. You probably might wanna stay away from PVP area while this problem is present.”

“We’re on it,” community developer Hamish Bode told another player onTwitter. “Don’t you worry your pretty little face.”
