Nintendo plans to make feature films soon

Not live-action movies, though Nintendo plans to release feature-length films in the near future, company CEOTatsumi Kimishimaconfirmed in a recent interview with Japanese newspaperAsahi Shimbun. According to Kimishima, the films will either be hand-drawn or computer animated, as opposed to live-action pictures, due to the disaster that was the 1993Super Mario Bros.movie.
