She’s Electric Work continues on boom-a-riffic shooter sequelShadow Warrior 3. Developer Flying Wild Hog and publisher Devolver Digital continue to drop trailers and tidbits pertaining to the cataclysmic sequel, which is scheduled for release on PS4, PC, and Xbox One later this year. The developers might have outdone themselves this weekend, however, with the reveal of amazing new character Motoko — the last remaining sorceress of the Kumo Brotherhood. Very little has been revealed about this fascinating new villain, but we do know that she holds mastery over electrical elements and that she plays host to an explosive and opulent fighting arena, which is fittingly titled “Motoko’s Thunderdome....

25,000 expected in 2017 From a 265-person show in 2002, MAGFest has blossomed into near uncontrollable levels. Last year the convention runners reported roughly 20,000 were in attendance, but this year, 25,000 registrants are expected to attend. That’s a massive amount of growth for what is essentially a small indie outfit — and they’reexpanding into multiple conventionsto meet demand. It helps then, that the con has been situated at the Gaylord National Harbor Convention Center on the brink of Maryland, DC, and Virginia, for the past several years now....

Pre-release on July 7-8 After a long wait, Wizards of the Coast has mostly unveiled the cards that are arriving in its newestMagic: The Gatheringset by way of a spoiler weekend.. You know what could have made PSP gameMetal Gear Solid: Peace Walker better? A second analog stick. Do you know what has a second analog stick? The PlayStation Vita. Deduct -50 points if you were a smartass and answered “PS3.” Snake’s latest outing on the PSP is just a bit better on the Vita, as are all the other PSP games I’ve seen on the unit. The screen is bigger, so that means that visuals are stretched out a bit, but they look nice, and the Vita seems to make them all more colorful....

Don’t let your evil master get the best of you Soul Sacrificecan be a pretty deep, rewarding experience, but it can also be a bit difficult to learn at first. The confusing menu system and large variety of spells can be extremely overwhelming. But once you’ve bested a few stages and start to learn the flow of the game, it’s a lot easier to get into. Everything starts to make sense, as you augment and combine spells into your desired build, learn ways around the “sacrifice” mechanic that’s core to the your success, and get a grip on the pacing of the game’s combat....
