Missing games galore During the summer streams over the past few weeks, the flood of new games that were being thrown at us seemed never-ending, and I mean that in the best way possible. We still have a couple moreupcoming news streams, but the bulk of it is behind us. The one downside of this is that any titles that were missing from the streams likely won’t be seeing much love for now, and while we can’t completely write off individual trailer drops or news posts, there isn’t anything concrete to look forward to in the near future....

Damn Xbox 360, you just got your ass handed to you by a dead console. SNAP! Yeah that’s right you retro loving old people. The Commodore 64 has a Twitter application now. Why? IT DOESN’T MATTER WHY! F**k Twittering from your PC or Phone. You haven’t Tweeted until you tweet on the Commodore 64! The application, or app as all the cool lazy people are saying these days, is called BREADBOX64....

Mecha mayhem on PS4 and Switch Hamster is stepping with style into the 1990s for this week’s Arcade Archives release, which sees Jaleco’s brilliant but underplayed shmupCybattlerreturn for one more round on PS4 and Nintendo Switch. Released in arcades in 1993 – long after the initial shmup craze had died and fighting game cabinets were filling up centers worldwide –Cybattlerkept the flag flying with its chaotic, vertically-scrolling chaos. One or two players pilot huge mech units in an all-out war against waves of opposing mechas, spaceships, and huge, dominating boss characters....

Warframe’slatest update, The Lotus Eaters, is now live. With it, we have the introduction of a new cinematic quest alongside the release of Sevagoth Prime and his related pieces of gear. Treyarch has players putting on their detective hats to piece together the puzzle after releasing a creepy teaser video for the upcomingCall of Dutytitle. Treyarch created a new website domain calledthe truth lies. When you go on to the website, a video on a CRT shows a group of people climbing Mount Rushmore and putting blindfolds over the former presidents’ faces with “the truth lies” written on the first three. The fourth blindfold has what will presumably be the logo for the next title....

At least it can’t see you mess your pants Daylightis thepsychological horror titledeveloped by Zombie Studios (and published by Atlus) that will be hitting PlayStation 4 and PC in 2014. After some hands-on time, I can honestly say that the game really did manage to scare me with a lot of its mechanics. The interesting thing is that the game knows when these moments will occur, and will work with the PlayStation Eye camera to take photos of you at just the right moments, allowing you to share them with your friends if you’re in a self-deprecating mood....

Breaking out of combos can be one of the most essential things to do during a fight in Dragon Ball Sparking Zero, but it’s easier said than done. When you’re playing against the AI at lower difficulties, it’s pretty easy to break combos. Moreover, the AI at lower difficulty hardly chains combos in the first place. But that’s not the case when you’re playing a human opponent or crank up the difficulty of the AI....
