I’m so glad Bowser’s Fury has two-player co-op

Even as someone who owns 3D World on Wii U, I’m in Yesterday’s trailer forSuper Mario 3D World + Bowser’s Furylooked fantastic– you almost could’ve fooled me into thinking the new cat-filled zone was a DLC world forSuper Mario Odyssey– but the glimpse we got left us with plenty of room for hopeful speculation. (Partially by design, I’m sure.) Today, Nintendo posted amuch betteroverview of the two-in-one Switch title. Super Mario 3D Worldis about what you’d expect for a Wii U-to-Switch upgrade, but I’m far more interested in the latter half of this video – jump to the four-minute mark to learn aboutBowser’s Fury....

Mini projector + Wii Remote = no-glasses virtual reality

I almost vomited from motion sickness while watching this video, but it’s worth working through to see this neat concept. Nirav Pateltook a ShowWX miniature laser projector, a Wii Remote and a Spacepoint Fusion gyrometer and worked them all onto a Wii Zapper body to make a sort of free moving virtual reality device. The end result is a gun you can aim at the walls in any room and play something like a shooter, pointing up to see up, down to see down, in full 360 degree movement....
