PlayStation 4 launch title sports 25-40 hours of gameplay Jonathan Blow’s next project sounds absolutely massive. TheBraiddesigner and his team are currently putting the finishing touches onThe Witness, an open world puzzle game coming to PlayStation 4 that is reportedly somewhere in the neighborhood of 25 to 40 hours in duration. That’s a far cry from the eight hour campaign Blow envisioned when he embarked on this journey. In a recent update on the PlayStation Blog, the designer suggested the title might just be “the biggest and most-intricate world ever built for a puzzle game....

Nice work, Cheapy D Forza Horizon 2? Pretty damned good, right? Having to buy a car pack to get the most desired DLC car? Not so good. I have strong feelings of my own on that and other DLC topics surrounding the Forza franchise, but I can save my breath as our pal Cheapy D over at Cheap Ass Gamer has it handled in hisopen letter to Microsoft, Turn 10, and Playground Games....

Unlike the Wii U edition of the game though, the PC has leaderboards, if you’re into that sort of thing....

Enhanced Wii U game will hit the eShop The improved Wii U version ofMutant Mudds, titledMutant Mudds Deluxe, is heading to Nintendo’s console sooner than later as Renegade Kid developer Jools Watshamhas just announcedthat it’s nearly finished, and ready to submit to Nintendo. Deluxewill feature remote/off-TV play, as well as new challenging levels focused around ghosts, and all of theprior add-on contentwill be included as well. I was a huge fan ofMutant Mudds, and enjoyed what I played ofDeluxeat PAX East, so I hope this hits the Wii U eShop soon — the service could certainly use the boost now....

THQ has interesting plans — releasing a “Red Faction Arcade” game on Xbox LIVE Arcade and PlayStation Network prior to the release ofRed Faction: Armageddon. This says THQ Vice President of Core Games (I still can’t believe this is a thing!) Danny Bilson, who in aninterview with CVG, says the title will ship three to four months before the release ofArmageddon....

But does it make PS Now worth it? Deep Silver has just released a whole load of its back catalogue on to the PS Now streaming service. Saint’s Row: Gat Out of Hell,Escape Dead Island,Metro: Last Light,Narco Terror,Risen 3: Titan Lords,Sacred Citadel, andSacred 3are now all available for streaming to your PS3, PS4 or PS Vita. Some of those games, likeMetro: Last Light, are really good. Others are uh… not so great....

Field of Dreams Despite having only been toiling in the fields for a scant week, publisher Marvelous has already released the first update for the Nintendo Switch edition of the delightful and totes adorbs RPG farming simSakuna: Of Rice and Ruin. Available to download now, Version 1.02 cleans up a few of SwitchSakuna‘s frayed ends. Certain locations have received a visual overall, while some missing voice files have been restored. In addition, various balance tweaks and bug fixes have been applied to ensure a tighter and generally more stable gameplay experience on the Nintendo platform....
