[Update: ReaderAurvant received the inviteemail and wanted to clarify that it’s simply a chance to get into the beta; the invite itself doesn’t come with a download key.] It sounds likeCrysis 2multiplayer beta invites are out in the wild, and it seems like PlayStation 3 and PC owners are being left out in the dust, at least for the time being. Invitations for the beta (which are being sent out to a select number of individuals who signed up on the game’s community website) are indicating that the beta requires an Xbox 360 and an Xbox Live Gold account....

SteamWorld Dig hits PS4, PS Vita in March

You’ll want to play this I can’t say enough good things aboutSteamWorld Dig, a platformer centered around mining that first launched on the 3DS eShop. It’s since come to Steam in high definition, and that expanded versionwas excellent. Now, Image & Form has its sights set on PlayStation Network. SteamWorld Digwill be out on PlayStation 4 and PS Vita in March for $9.99/€8.99. While I think the latter system will be the way to go here, the game does support Cross-Buy (pay once for both versions) so that’s not even going to be an issue....

Timothy Monbleau’s 10 favorite games of 2023

To be perfectly honest, sitting down and thinking about my favorite games of 2023 has been a surreal experience. When I look back onmy corresponding list I wrote in 2022, I feel like the person who wrote that is a fundamentally different person than who I am today. At the time, I was still recovering from some rough life experiences and wasn’t playing a lot of new games. My list of candidates was so sparse that I had to includeJimothy Donbleau’s Quest for Game of the Year, which is totally real and not just something I mocked up in RPG Maker....
