1,000 V-Bucks ($10) and a bundle are the draw

Nintendo is really cozying up toFornite. I mean it’s the kind of thing they probably wish they created first, but they did the next best thing:take part in an ad that partners with Microsoft to take down Sony. It’s a weird time in the ongoing saga of the console war.

Anyway, Nintendo has partnered with Epic for aFortniteSwitch bundle, and it’s not too exciting — the console is the same standard black design and the Joy-Con are the same alt-neon colors that were present at launch. The draw here is that the bundle is the same MSRP as a standard Switch ($299.99) and comes with the Double Helix bundle (Outfit, Back Bling, Glider and Pickaxe) and 1,000 V-bucks (roughly $10) to buy stuff inFortnite, which is free-to-play. That’s it.

It might sound underwhelming but for a pre-holiday push it’s genius. Parents will look at the box, seeFortnite, and buy it.
