Nintendowon’t be hosting a traditionalE3 press conference as in years past. Instead the company intends to host smaller events focused on the software lineup for the US market. This we knew, but we were left to wonder what exactly they were going to do.
Well now we know as Nintendo has just announced that they’ll be hosting a Come Play With Us @ The Wii U Software Showcase event at their E3 booth. Nintendo of America President & COO Reggie Fils-Aime and Shigeru Miyamoto will both be giving presentations, after which the press will get to play the upcoming lineup “through a unique hands-on time experience” with the games at Nintendo’s booth before the show floor opens to all.
The event takes place on June 11, with opening remarks beginning at 10:30AM. No word if this will be livestreamed, but at the very least we will be live-blogging the event right here on Destructoid.
