Give it the Greenlight

Check out Dinosaur Games’ upcoming titleMechKnight Chronicles, which is slated to come to Steam (PC, Mac, and Linux) and most likely Ouya too. Dinosaur calls this game their love letter to the brawler genre, citing games likeKnights of the Round, Shadow of Mystaria, Castle Crashers, and the wonderful Sega Saturn classicGuardian Heroesas inspirations. My attention? They have it.

Dinosaur Games is a new group of industry vets, coming from teams that worked on games likeBloodRayne 2, Conan, Ghostbusters: TVG, andShadows of the Damned. They say that they’re looking to bring the type of games they grew up with to the new generation.

MechKnight Chroniclesis still early (only about 3 months in), but it’s showing rather well for the short time it has been in production. When it’s all said and done, up to four players can pick from 10 characters to cooperatively go at it to save the world. There’s multiple paths to follow, an RPG-ish experience and stat system, and some seriously badass music. I’m sure you’ll agree that these are all key ingredients for a top-notch brawler.

I’m definitely digging it, but if you like what you see, let Dinosaur Games (and the Steam Overlords) know via theirGreenlight page.
