As far as consumables go, Demondrug is one the most important ones to craft inMonster Hunter Wilds.It has several applications, with one big one that any seasoned hunter should always be taking advantage of. Let’s cover that that is.
How to craft Demondrug in Monster Hunter Wilds
Demondrug is a consumable inMonster Hunter Wildsthat provides you with a sizabledamage buffthat ispermanentuntil you either cart (die) or the buff is replaced with a better version. Generally speaking, in hunts with decently powerful monsters, you’ll want to ensure you buff up with Demondrug before you start fighting. The difference is big enough that it’s worth the time and patience to craft it.
To make Demondrug, you’ll need two key materials:Catalystand Might Seed. There are numerous ways to obtain these two reagents, but constancy is what’s most important when comes to consumables inMonster Huntertitles, so the consistent method is the one I’ll be sharing with you.
How to get Catalyst
Catalyst is made by combiningBitterbugwithHoney, both of which are resources commonly found in areas with an abundance of life. Locations like theScarlet Forestand theWild Plains*are the best places to harvest both. Look for ablue bettleand abrown honeyconeon the map, to pin locations for these resources. Use theBotanyskill to harvest more than the normal amount from each node you interact with.
Once you have both, open theCrafting Listtab in your Item Box or Item Pouch, and scroll over to theCatalystoption. If it is not yet available, it is number nine on the list. In this case, select the ‘?????’to craft your first Catalyst.
You only need one of each of the mentioned materials to make a single Catalyst, but you’ll need to make as many Catalyst as you can throughout your playthrough, as it is one of the most crucial, critical materials for several potent consumable items beyond Demondrug.
How to get Might Seed
Unlike Catalyst, Might Seeds are not crafted. Instead, they are found by harvesting plants and growing them. While these are not as common as Bitterbug or Honey, they are still not difficult to find and you can locate them easily using your map and pinpointing the exact location of them there.
They look likered berries with a stem growing out the right side, on your map and in your Crafting List.
Crafting Demondrug
Once you have at least one Catalyst and Might Seed, you can craft Demondrug simliarly to how you crafted Catalyst initially. Open the Crafting List and scroll over tonumber 19in the list. If you’ve not made Demondrug before, this will appear as simply question marks. Select the ‘?????’ and you’ll have crafted your very first Demondrug consumable.
How to use Demondrug
As a consumable, using a Demondrug requires the exact same amount of effort as using a Potion. Simplyscroll over to itin your Item Pouch, and press the ‘Use’ key to drink it. Drinking a Demondrug will buff your damage stats across the board and for any weapon. It is a universal consumable and one you should always use once you can produce it without material concern.
