Whatever you’re trying to craft inDisney Dreamlight Valley, you will need materials. Some of these are basic materials that can be gathered, while others must be refined using these basic materials. One such material is Rope, and it’s useful in a lot of ways.

Getting Rope is a three-step process inDisney Dreamlight Valley. You’ll need to gather Seaweed, turn it into Fiber, and then eventually turn that Fiber into Rope to use in crafting. To summarize the process before going into more detail, you’ll need two Seaweed to make one Rope. Don’t worry if this sounds a bit confusing; let’s go through it step by step.

How to get Seaweed in Disney Dreamlight Valley

Seaweed might seem elusive at first, but it’s remarkably easy to get large amounts of the material. Seaweed can be fished up in any of the waters in any biome in the Valley, as long as you’re fishing in a place without an already established fishing spot of any color.

If you want to really increase the amount of Seaweed you can haul in, remember to hang out with abuddyspecializing in Fishing as you do so. At level 10 friendship, they’ll toss out an additional Seaweed for each one you fish up, doubling your gain.

You can also craft Seaweed using 5 Red Algae, which is a possible additional drop while fishing in any biome of the Valley.

How to get Fiber in Disney Dreamlight Valley

Once you’ve got a stock of Seaweed, you can start turning it into Fiber. Each Seaweed you use for this purpose will turn into five Fiber, so you can very easily build up a sizable stock. The crafting recipe for Fiber can be found in the Refined Materials section when interacting with any Crafting Bench.

Alternatively, if you haven’t got a pile of Seaweed at hand, it is possible to find Fiber for sale at Kristoff’s stall, although it’s not a guaranteed item. It’s worth checking, though, and if he does have it in stock, you’ll be able to buy a maximum of 20 Fiber for 6 Star Coins each.

Now that you’ve turned the Seaweed into Fiber (or bought the Fiber outright), you can turn it into Rope. Each Rope that you want to make will use up 8 Fiber, and the recipe can be found under the Refined Materials section when interacting with a Crafting Bench.
