If you’re anything like me, you’ve likely got a rather large collection ofPokémoncards rattling around somewhere in your house. Collecting them is undeniably fun, andPokémon TCG Pocketlets you do that without any additional clutter in your living space.

The primary wayto unlock new cards inTCG Pocketis byopening booster packs. At a base level, you get two booster packs to open every day, and they can be opened 12 hours apart. Why? Because it takes 12 hours for your “Pack Stamina” to refill, allowing you to rip open another pack of five cards.

12 hours is a long time to wait, and it’s understandable if you get a little frustrated with the process, but thankfully, there are a couple of ways to open more than two packs a day, and one of them won’t cost you a penny, although it is a bit of a grind.

Complete missions and level up to earn some Pack Hourglasses

Hourglasses are the main way to speed up your waiting times inTCG Pocket. They’re a type of currency, essentially, and you can spend one Hourglass to reduce your waiting time by one hour.

The good news is that there’s a way for you to begin earning Hourglasses as soon as you’ve downloaded and installed the game, and all you need to do is play to complete missions. There are many different types of missions to complete, but the ones that reward Pack Hourglasses are Basic Missions and Daily Missions.

Completing missions is the best way to get Pack Hourglasses in Pokémon TCG Pocket

To begin with, you’ll have Beginner missions to complete. There are five in total, and once they’re completed, you’ll move up to the next set of missions. Completing each mission will get you 24 Pack Hourglasses, which is enough to completely negate any waiting and allow you to open up two additional booster packs.

Daily Missions reward less Pack Hourglasses per one completed, but completing three will reward you with either Pack Hourglasses or Wonder Hourglasses.

Complete the Battle tutorials

Once you’ve opened enough packs to reach level 3, you’ll be able to start battling either against other players, or against an AI opponent. It can be tempting to dive straight in, especially if you know how to play, but don’t skip out on the tutorials, because there are Pack Hourglasses to be had.

To get them, open up the battle menu on the bottom of the screen, then select “Guides” in the bottom left corner. There are seven tutorials to complete, each of which will give you two Pack Hourglasses.

It’s worth noting that once you’ve completed the basic tutorials, you’re able to also complete more advanced ones. These don’t reward Pack Hourglasses, but you can get some very useful Trainer cards this way.

You’ll also earn Pack Hourglasses for completing solo battle challenges for the first time.

Tickets are earned through the Wonder Pick system, and players who pick from your packs can send you thanks. Each thanks comes with a Ticket, which can be exchanged in the Shop.

You can also get Tickets as part of the Daily Gift item within the Shop. This is completely free, and you get all three of the items shown. They’re also a possible reward for leveling up, although this is a bit hit-and-miss.
