Living Pearl is an item inNo Man’s Skywhich is used as an ingredient to craft various other items. While some are purely decorative items such as the Moon Pool Floor and Small Aquarium, there are other useful items as well, which require players to obtain Living Pearl in order to craft the item.

For starters,No Man’s Skyplayers who wish to mine resources directly from the Nautilus vehicle have to equip it with the Tethys Beam. This Exocraft mining laser requires a Living Pearl as one of the crafting ingredients. Moreover, the Nautilon Cannon weapon also requires the Living Pearl for crafting.

How to get Living Pearl inNo Man’s Sky

Living Pearl is found inside Armoured Clams inNo Man’s Sky. Armored Clams are found deep underwater inNo Man’s Sky. Armored Clams are not too hard to find inNo Man’s Sky, but your best bet would be to find a planet with an ocean floor since the spawn rate for Armored Clams would be higher. There might be planets with oceans in the star system you are in, but if that’s not the case, finding a star system with water is not a problem.

Simply head to the Galaxy Map and look for a nearby system that has “Water”, as mentioned in the info box about that system. Fuel up your hyperdrive and warp to that star system, and head to a planet with water.

Land on any land surface near water, and dive deep into the ocean. Open up your analysis visor and look for a golden clam icon. Once you find an Armored Clam, use any of your multi-tool weapons to hit it, and the clam should open up and reveal a Living Pearl.

Be quick to grab it and move away from the clam as it will stay open only for a couple of seconds before closing and dealing damage. If you do miss out on grabbing it on the first attempt, don’t worry. The clam can be opened again by using a weapon.
