With the launch of the Mariana’s Veil update inFisch, we will be able to travel underwater by gaining our very own submarine.
To make matters even more interesting, the developers have ensured that you can’t spend any real-life money to get the vehicle. Instead, you’ll have to talk with Dr. Glimmerfin and find the different parts to gain access to it.
How to start building your submarine in Fisch
The first job is to visit Dr. Glimmerfin, who can be found on the coast near the Roslit landmark. If you have a GPS device on you, just travel to the following coordinates (XYZ: -1309, 132, 312). Interacting with him will start a quest that will turn you into a miner (of sorts).
You’ll have to use your drill to unearth the following parts.
You’ll get the drill after chatting with Dr. Glimmerfin, so that part will be pretty easy. Once you have obtained it, make sure to assign it to a hot bar and keep it equipped to find the parts.
How to find submarine parts in Fisch
The parts, as you may have guessed, are hidden all over Roslit Bay and Roslit Hamlet. You’ll come across Obsidian Rocks lying at random places. You’ll have to equip your drill and break down these rocks to mine for the parts. Once you complete the drill, you’ll find a part at random (there’s a chance for you to get nothing).
The drop rate for each part is 5%, so you’ll have to be patient. You can’t trade for the parts, and it’s not guaranteed that you’ll find the exact one that you need. Hence, the process will be time-consuming, and it’s best to try your chances on a server with boosted luck.
How to complete your submarine in Fisch
Once you have found all the parts, go back to Dr. Glimmerfin. You’ll find a shadow of the boat beside him. Go close, and you’ll get the choice to place the parts to complete your submarine. Once you have placed all the parts, talk with Dr. Glimmerfin about getting your submarine.
Once you have your submarine, you may spawn it just likeany other boat. Talk with Shipwright NPC, and you’ll be able to drop deep using your submarine. While the movement controls are pretty much the same, you can choose to ascend and descend to visit the deeper depths by pressing the Q and E buttons, respectively.
