Newer version than the PS4 edition
Dragon Quest XI: Echoes of an Elusive Ageis a bonified hit in Japan with more than three million copies sold between the Nintendo 3DS and PlayStation 4. A western release is planned for next year and fingers crossed western gamers will be able to choose between either version of the game and not just have to deal with one or the other. Hopefully, by the time that 2018 release date comes around, we’ll also be able to grab it for the Nintendo Switch. Square-Enix has been tight-lipped on that version, leaving some to ask if it will be modeled on the 3DS game or the PS4. We now have our answer.
According to JapaneseNintendo.com, Yuji Hori appeared at Unreal Fest East 2017 and confirmed the game is being made with the Unreal Engine, just like the PS4. The Switch port will utilize Unreal 4.15 that released earlier this year. The PS4 version ofDQXIwas made on Unreal 4.13.

There are at least 20 games from Japan being made for the Switch using the Unreal Engine, according to Epic Games Japan. Some of those games includeBloodstained: Ritual of the Nightand theShin Megami Tenseigame I am dying to hear more about.
