Flynn is finally getting past some of his wolfish habits resulting from Maleficent’s curse duringDisney Dreamlight Valley’s Storybook Valestoryline. However, he’s facing a new challenge: dealing with nightmares. He asks you for help, leading into the Memory Lane quest.
Memory Lane quest walkthrough
Memory Lane, Flynn’s level four friendship quest, revolves around him experiencing a nightmare about a blonde woman running away from him. You initially guess it’s Rapunzel, but he insists it isn’t. You both decide to consult the Lorekeeper about this.
As you listen to Flynn and the Lorekeeper talk, you’ll unlock part of his memory, revealing that he knelt to Maleficent. He starts to remember this as well but has no clue why. Desperate to know more, you resort to drastic measures:seeking help from Ursula.
There’s a chance that Ursula may have a slightly hard time navigatingStorybook Vale’swaters, depending on where she spawns. If this is the case, use your camera to maneuver her slightly and bring her closer to you.
Crafting a Memory Potion
Once you begin discussing the dilemma with Ursula, she’ll warn you to be careful when tackling memories, as they can have dangerous consequences. Nonetheless, she gives you a memory potion recipe requiring the following items:
Aside from Petrified Wood, these are all surprisingly tricky items to find unless you know where to collect them. Sea Monster Tooth appears in Fairy Tale Trial treasure chests and in blue fishing spots around Everafter. Similarly, salt crystals require fishing outside of these circles in the forest. Olives and Lightning Spice are both harvestable in Mythopia.
Once you have all five items, bring them to Ursula to receive the potion. She’ll call it a donation, but we all know she’ll remember this moment. Head to Flynn’s house and give him a potion for a second memory.
The big reveal
You’ll confirm that rather than Rapunzel appearing in his memory, it’s Aurora instead. He also reveals he wasn’t cursed at the time, adding some interesting layers to this story.
With that revelation out of the way, you’ll suggest talking to Hades to see what’s happening. You’ll open up about Flynn chasing Princess Aurora in Mythopia, but Hades doesn’t remember what happened. He does tell you his house might have a few clues, though, so that’s our next destination.
Inside Hades’ house, you’ll spot a storage chest to your right containing Aurora’s Tiara. Grab it and bring it back to Flynn to uncover one last memory. You’ll see him holding the crown, with Flynn realizing he captured Aurora and delivered her to Maleficent. He still doesn’t know the motive behind it, but at least you both were able to shed some light on the situation. You both vow to get to the bottom of it, wrapping up the Memory Lane quest inDisney Dreamlight Valley.
