Sega and ASCII Media Works’ fighter heads west this summer
Dengeki Bunko: Fighting Climaxis coming west this summer, Sega just announced.
The crossover project celebrates the 20th anniversary ofDengeki Bunko, pitting characters fromSword Art Online, Spice & Wolf, and other series against one another.
Familiar faces from Sega’s catalog, includingVirtua Fighter‘s Akira Yuki and Selvaria ofValkyria Chroniclesfame, also join the fray as unlockable characters. Moreover, the rings themselves draw inspiration from Sega titles likeSonic the HedgehogandPhantasy Star Online.
The fighting game was developed by Ecole Software and French Bread, who you might know from their work onMelty Bloodand the upcomingUnder Night In-Birth.
Dengeki Bunko: Fighting Climaxis planned for a summer release on PlayStation 3 and Vita via both PSN and your favorite brick-and-mortar retailers.
