Still just one for the newer generation
A recent PlayStation trailer for the upcoming remake ofDead Spacelisted PS4 alongside PS5, sparking some speculation it might arrive on both generations. A new report indicates that was a mistake, however.
According toEurogamer, the trailer listing both PlayStation platforms is “a mistake,” as the outlet understands. The original listing for PS4 obviously stirred up some rampant speculation that this might turn out to be a PS4 game as well.

While this trailer isstill onlineas of this writing, it no longer lists PS4 in the title as itpreviously did. Looks likeDead Spaceis still aiming for just the newer generation.
Back out to space
TheDead Spaceremake is being handled by Electronic Arts’ Motive studio, which previously worked on games likeStar Wars Battlefront IIandStar Wars Squadrons.
ForDead Space, the team has been surprisingly candid about the development process. Motive has shown several deep,behind-the-scenes looksat the making of this remake, spotlighting sound, art, and more.

We also got a lookat some gameplay just this week, along with the reveal of a really neat (and really expensive) collector’s edition from Limited Run Games.
It’s been quite a few years since players first set foot on the USG Ishimura. But honestly, I’m more than ready for aDead Spacerevival. I’m not even one for horror games most of the time, but I loved the sci-fi terror of theDead Spaceseries.

We’ll see how Motive’s own venture onto the Ishimura goes whenDead SpacelaunchesJanuary 27, 2023for PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.
