We know very little about FromSoftware’sElden Ringat this point. We knowA Song of Ice and Fireauthor George R.R. Martin is collaborating on the story in some way, and we know that Hidetaka Miyazaki is directing it. Otherwise, FromSoftware has mostly kept us in the dark.

However, we now know thatElden Ringwill sound familiar. Composer Yuka Kitamura confirmed via Twitter that she’s creating the score forElden Ring. Kitamura is a FromSoftware favorite, as she handled the music inDark Souls 2and3,Bloodborne, andSekiro: Shadows Die Twice.

FromSoftware hasn’t given us a reason to doubt the studio over the past decade or so, especially when it comes to action RPGs. Hell, this style of game is calledSouls-like for a reason. The silence aroundElden Ringisn’t cause for concern, it just breeds more intrigue. Now we know the soundtrack should be up to snuff — even though we probably could’ve assumed that all along.
