All-out skydiving, zombie-shooting, vehicle-trashing warfare
The nights are getting colder and the skies are getting darker. It’s that time of year where we prepare for the launch of the latest entry Activision’s bazillion dollarCall of Dutyfranchise. The publisher thinks so to, as it drops the launch trailer for the newest contender to the Battle Royale throne,Black Ops 4.
The trailer might only run a scant 66 seconds, but it sure makes the most of it, crammed full of action from the upcoming sequel’s three modes, Multiplayer, Battle Royale and, of course, Zombies. We get to see people running about like idiots, wild piloting of dune buggies and helicopters, frenzied battles aboard the Titanic and in the Roman Colosseum and a dude blindly wing-suiting off of a dam.

Having put a good chunk of time into bothBlack Ops 4’sMultiplayerandBattle Royalemode, I can confirm that the physics are sound, and the audio/visual aesthetics are pretty damn sharp. Now all that remains to be seen is how the finished product fares in an overcrowded market. Still, you know what they say, always bet on Black.
Call of Duty: Black Ops 4launches on PS4, PC and Xbox One October 12.
