Oh gee I wonder what it could be
Seems slightly strange to have a teaser countdown for a game we already know is coming, but that’s exactly what Beamdog seems to be doing with its already announced newBaldur’s Gategame.
The website is showing a countdown that is scheduled to end in 10 days. We know the game, previously dubbedAdventure Y, isn’tBaldur’s Gate 3and is instead anew game set betweenBaldur’s GateandBaldur’s Gate 2.
Beamdog has a history with the franchise, being the team behind the Enhanced remakes that have come out in recent years, as well as theIcewind Dale: Enhance Edition.
So there we have it, there’s a midqual forBaldur’s Gatecoming, it’s probably going to be shown off in 10 days, try to act surprised. Unless they’ve been tricking us and then go ahead and announceBaldur’s Gate 3, then feel free to actually be surprised.
