I’m just curious how moddable they are
Pre-orders have opened for a line of 3/4 scale arcade cabinets from Arcade1Upfeaturing games likeCentipede,Rampage,Ghosts N’ Goblins, andSuper Street Fighter II Turbo. The machines are a little under four feet tall, use a 17″ LCD screen, and feature licensed, authentic artwork. They look the part.
These are $400 a piece, and the company is also offering an optional cabinet riser and stool.
Between the game selection, form factor, and controls, the cabinets aren’t going to be for everyone, but I do see the appeal. I’m curious what intrepid buyers will find when they poke around inside.
We’ll find out more details before long — the cabinets hit shelves on September 25.
